Training and Implementation

RedPanda is an interprofessional and stakeholder-driven effort to study and establish best practices to support individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions in Ecuador.

Since 2016 we have accomplished the following projects:

The Early Start Denver Model is an evidence-based model developed in the USA

The Early Start Denver Model is an evidence-based model developed in the USA. However, an important amount of information and training are available in Spanish. This model allows for the participation of all therapists, families and preschool professionals, contributing to the cost-control of interventions.

Between 2016 and 2020, RedPanda has been teaching Observational Procedures of Early Signs in Paediatric Contexts.

Up to 2022, RedPanda has provided more than 200 hours of teaching and supervision for ASD assessment.

4. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INTRODUCED EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMS IN PRESCHOOLS IN QUITO

Since 2019 a certified therapist has introduced Early Support for Children with Autism, inspired by the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), in four mainstream preschool centres in Quito.
We are grateful to the preschool centers in Quito that have accepted to cooperate with us.

PACT, is an evidence-based model of intervention for children with autism that has been developed in Manchester, UK
PACT, is an evidence-based model of intervention for children with autism that has been developed in Manchester, UK. Training in Spanish is currently available. We have disseminated knowledge about its principles and evidence. Members of the Ecuadorian Parents Association are currently receiving training in this model.
